Bale Capampangan, San Fernando City, Pampanga

**All pictures on this blog can be made bigger by clicking on them.

We're back!

I was actually supposed to put this post up like, yesterday, but I got lazy haha. Well, it's here now so let's start!

We've been going on quite a few road trips lately, but mostly to Pampanga (although I do look forward to going back to Baguio, because the heat here is horrible). My mom used to have this radio show about travel and restaurants and stuff, so she told me about this restaurant we should try out called Bale Capampangan. It's a buffet that's only ₱295 (around $7)!

We were so excited to eat there, but when we got there, it was still closed. So we went to a nearby bakery (which will be the topic of my next post!!!) to cool off while waiting. Finally, the restaurant opened and they switched on all the lights.

I personally liked the decorations, but my mom said that it didn't feel very "Capampangan", it was more Mindanao-like. As for the line-up of food, it was decent enough, considering the price.

Anyway, time to actually grade this!

Food Quality:

To be honest, we were really disappointed with it. It was definitely NOT worth the wait.

Ambiance:

It was good enough, but still the food is what really matters. *sigh*

Service:

The staff were pretty friendly, and did their best to keep the customers happy.

Price:

Well, I guess if you don't really care about the quality of the food, the price is REALLY CHEAP.

We hope you're looking forward to the next post and if you like what we post, follow us! It would really mean a lot! And I'll even send you a virtual cookie! :D

Byeeee~

Hanuri Korean Restaurant, Tomas Morato

Yay! I finally got around to making this!

We decided to review this restaurant first, because we eat there often. It's located in Tomas Morato, in between Amber Golden Bowl Restaurant and Family Mart.

Here's the menu and logo (in case you have trouble finding the restaurant) of Hanuri:

Hanuri, Tomas Morato Menu

Note: I found these pictures on Zomato, and this is actually incomplete. Hanuri has updated their menu, but I have yet to get a picture of said menu.

Like any other restaurant, not all of the dishes will be equally as good. You need to know what to order.

Clarice: "My personal favorite is the Bibimbap, I used to order it every single time (literally almost everyday) we visited the restaurant. What really had me hooked was the pickled radish that gave a tangy flavor! Oh, and if you love spicy food, it comes with a separate chili paste that you can put yourself! I had to stop ordering this for a while because I was getting so darn fat! Their Bulgogi is also a must-try, especially if you like your soup a bit sweet. The beef is very tender and juicy!"

Ness (my mom): "I love the Shabu-shabu! It's really cheap compared to that of Chinese restaurants in the Metro. It's ₱300+ and is good enough for about 3 people! I know what you're thinking, it probably doesn't taste so good because it's cheap. Well, that is so wrong. It's amazing and once you start eating, as cliche as it may sound, you won't be able to stop! Their Bulgogi is also something I find myself craving every now and then. The meat is so juicy, and the soup is surprisingly sweet."

Our comments are done, but now the real grading begins.

So, we'll be grading this according to food quality, ambiance, service, and price.

Food quality:

We've never been to Korea, but if this how food tastes there, traveling there is something to look forward to!

Ambiance:

It's not terrible, don't get us wrong. Buuuuuut, they could do better.

Service:

The staff there are pretty friendly, and the service is quick. Ask for a another plate of pickled radish, and you'll have it on your table in no time!

Price:
It's not the cheapest restaurant, but we're pretty sure that you'll get your money's worth.

We hope you enjoyed our first review and are excited for our next one! See you then! :D

Introductions, Introductions.

Well, since this is the first post, I might as well introduce myself.

I'm Claire from the Philippines.
I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to use a chibi for my blog, so that's me, heh.
I'm fifteen, and this blog is mainly run by me but this was mostly suggested by my mom. I'll probably post some of her comments and stuff about the food and restaurants we review.

Okay, so I came up with a way to rate the quality of food, ambiance, price, etc. for the restaurants we review.
AND I AM USING CHIBIS AGAIN HAHA I AM SO NOT SORRY

Alright, these are pretty much reaction pictures so....here they are. These are in no particular order by the way.

Angry - this sometimes goes hand in hand with the disappointed reaction pic.

Disappointed - this will be used if I was excited to go to a certain restaurant and I find out that the food isn't as good as I thought. :(

Okay - a.k.a "eh. I've had better."; it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.

Pretty good - "Will I eat here again? Probably, but maybe just a couple of times."

Amazing - THIS IS THE BEST FOOD I'VE EVER TASTED I THINK I'VE GONE TO HEAVEN JKSDHJKDHSKJHD.

So yeah, those are the reaction pictures, and I might use some GIFs once in a while.
I hope you'll stay tuned (wat) for our first actual food post!

Thanks for reading! Comment if you have any suggestions or whatever. :)
